Raj Singh Insurance Brokers and Risk Management Consultants Inc., in collaboration with The Guyana Maritime Administration Department who will soon be implementing Marine Regulations that would make it mandatory for all vessels above 100GRT to carry adequate Protection and Indemnity Insurance successfully sponsors Marine Insurance Seminar at Cara Lodge “Ballet Room” on 01st November, 2017.
MARAD is very concerned about the vessel wrecks that have been constantly abandoned in its waterways which have proven to be a major hindrance in the smooth marine traffic operations hence, these regulations are slated to become effective 01st January, 2018.
This seminar is geared towards educating and sensitizing vessel owners in Guyana of this new mandatory requirement. The main presenters at the seminar would be Mr. Alan Thomas, Director of New World Marine Insurance Consultants Ltd, a leading Marine Insurance Broker out of London and Mr. Paul Rankin, Director of Maritime Mutual Insurance Association, an international P & I insurance underwriter. This seminar will be moderated by the CEO of RSI, Mr. Rajendra Singh and there will also be remarks made by officials from MARAD.
